A Journey of Advocacy and Inclusion
When our daughter was diagnosed with an intellectual disability at 2.5 years old, we found ourselves navigating a maze of systems, paperwork, and uncertainty. We knew she deserved the same opportunities as any other child, but getting her the support she needed felt overwhelming.
In her early twenties, we began to have significant challenges trying to get her the medical help she needed, and that’s when we discovered Inclusion BC, and everything changed.
From the very first conversation, they treated us not just as a case, but as a family with an important message. Their team helped us understand our rights, connected us with resources, and stood by us through every challenge, whether it was advocating for inclusive education, accessing services, or simply being heard.
They reminded us that advocacy isn’t just about fighting—it’s about building bridges. With their guidance, we became stronger, more informed, and more confident in asking for what our daughter needs to be her best. Most importantly, she received the support she needed and is thriving in an environment that finally sees her for who she truly is: capable, curious, and full of potential.
Inclusion BC didn’t just support us; they empowered us. And for that, we’ll always be grateful.
