Inclusion is an attitude. It’s appreciating differences, and taking action to create equal opportunity for everyone. Inclusion BC advocates for a world where everyone belongs, and where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have choice and control over the support services they need to flourish.

Our Federation

People are stronger together. Inclusion BC members work together to make sure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are included and supported wherever they live. As a network, we educate and advocate for positive and inclusive policy changes, and drive public awareness to create communities where everyone belongs.

Our History

Inclusion BC’s name has evolved since we first formed in 1955, and so has our vision. We started as a small group of families who wanted better education for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, we are a federation of organizations dedicated to inclusion and equal opportunity for all people, of all ages, in all areas of life.
