Vaccine Distribution and a Disability Lens

News about successful Covid-19 vaccines has prompted a lot of questions about how that vaccine will be distributed in Canada. It is expected that there will not be enough of the first doses of the vaccine to distribute to all British Columbians.

Any vaccine distribution plan must take into consideration the needs of people with disabilities and direct care workers across settings.

Much is still unknown about the vaccines, including how many each province will receive, once approved by Health Canada. Our advocacy will evolve as we learn more about the virus and about potential vaccines.
