CanadaDisabilityBenefit.ca
CanadaDisabilityBenefit.ca offers comprehensive and trusted information, resources and support on the CDB. The website provides a thorough overview of the CDB and addresses key questions and areas of concern, including:
- Information about the eligibility requirements for the CDB
- Details about how benefit payments will be calculated
- Updates on clawback decisions in different provinces and territories
- Resources and supports to help individuals with applying for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), which is the main qualification criteria for the CDB.
As the regulations for the CDB are finalized, and more details are released about the application process and other elements of the benefit, we will be updating the website with the latest information. We are also working on additional resources to assist individuals in qualifying and applying.

DTC application support
Plan Institute is also expanding our Disability Planning Helpline to provide free one-to-one support with the DTC application process for people across the country.
Helpline advisors are able to support individuals with both Part A and Part B of the DTC form (T2201 form), including providing sample language, reviewing individuals’ paperwork and preparing a letter to take to their medical practitioner. Advisors can also offer information and guidance on each step of the DTC process.
Supports are completely free of charge and available to anyone across the country, including individuals with disabilities, their families, and professionals. Individuals can request support by calling 1-844-311-7526 or emailing helpline@planinstitute.ca.
We are pleased to work with Disability Alliance BC (DABC) on this initiative. DABC offers detailed DTC support within BC and has extensive DTC knowledge and experience.
