Langley Youth Employment Summit — A Buzzing Success!

Group of volunteers standing under a balloon arch. The first-ever in-person Youth Employment Summit brought together over 400 registrants and 38 exhibitors, creating an incredible day of connection, learning, and inspiration! The energy in the room was electric — you could feel the excitement as youth explored future career pathways and discovered local opportunities.

As our first in-person summit, it was a milestone moment — and it went exceptionally well! From the breakout sessions to the conversations happening on the exhibitor floor, there was a genuine sense of curiosity and possibility. We’re proud of how smoothly the event ran and are already taking away valuable lessons to make the next three summits even better.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up, exhibited, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success. Together, we’re building bridges that empower young people to explore their futures and connect with the support they need to get there.

Key Takeaways

  • Youth are invested in their futures. They’re eager to learn about career options and understand the steps needed to reach their goals.
  • Access to information matters, but there’s still a gap in support available for youth who need additional help to gain work experience or employment before adulthood.

The Langley Summit reminded us just how important it is to create spaces where youth can explore, ask questions, and feel supported on their employment journey. We’re excited to carry this momentum forward as we prepare for the next three Youth Employment Summits — coming soon to Kelowna, Nanaimo, and Prince George!

Thank you again to everyone who made Langley such a remarkable success.
