We are excited to share some big news: the Everybody Belongs Conference is back in May 2027!
On May 27 and 28, 2027, people from across British Columbia will come together for two full days of learning, connecting, celebrating, and imagining what truly inclusive communities can look like.
And this year, we are making the conference better than ever.
Inclusion BC is proud to co-host Everybody Belongs 2027 with BC People First and the Family Support Institute of BC. Together, our organizations bring the perspectives and experiences of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, advocates, and community organizations to the heart of the conference.
A conference about belonging
Everybody Belongs is more than a conference. It is a place to connect with old friends and meet new ones. It is a place to share ideas, learn from each other, celebrate what is working, and share what still needs to change.
Most importantly, it is a place where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are leaders, speakers, learners, and changemakers.
Over two days, participants will explore issues that matter to people and families across B.C., including inclusive education, housing, employment, health care, relationships, community participation, advocacy, and human rights.
We will also make room for creativity, celebration, and fun. Everybody Belongs 2027 will include opportunities to explore how art and creative expression can help us tell our stories, build community, and create social change.
Making the conference more accessible
Accessibility will be a priority throughout the conference.
Working with our co-hosts and community partners, we want presentations and activities to be welcoming, understandable, and engaging for a wide range of people. We will encourage presenters to think differently about how they share information and create opportunities for everyone to participate.
We also know that some of the best learning happens outside of formal workshops. There will be plenty of time to meet people, exchange ideas, build relationships, and learn from one another.

Everybody Belongs 2027 will be taking place May 27 and 28, 2027, in Richmond at the Richmond Conference Centre.
Our Call for Workshops will open in November 2026, and conference registration will open in early 2027.
Over the coming months, we will share much more about workshops, speakers, registration, accessibility, and ways to get involved.
