Disability Employment Awareness Month
Please help us celebrate Disability Employment Awareness Month this October in British Columbia and across Canada. We are working to create disability-friendly work cultures by educating businesses, employers and human resource professionals about disability employment issues and strategies.
Inclusion BC provides two services that help people make the transition into the workforce and get jobs.
MentorAbility promotes the employment of people with disabilities in communities large and small across the country. In British Columbia, MentorAbility is directed by Inclusion BC. We are focused on full or half-day mentoring experiences in which job seekers with disabilities are matched with individual mentors – to explore career opportunities and what they need to get ahead in their desired field of interest.
Ready, Willing & Able is a national initiative that engages, educates and supports employers to hire people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. Inclusion BC is an RWA partner, delivering the program in BC.
