Annual Report 2025-2026 A Special Thank You

Thank you for being a part of our community!

Inclusion BC’s work would not be possible without the generosity of our community of donors and partners. Your support ensures that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families can access help when they need it most. We are deeply grateful for every gift, and for everyone who believes in building a more inclusive British Columbia.

There are more ways than ever to support Inclusion BC. Whether you contributed through monthly giving as part of our Circle of Friends, donated bottles through Return-It Express, or organized a fundraiser in your community, every contribution makes a meaningful difference. This year, we were proud to welcome new individual and corporate donors, while continuing to work alongside long-time supporters who have championed inclusion for many years. Thanks to donors like you, our annual winter campaign was our most successful yet, demonstrating a growing commitment to inclusion across the province.

This year, we also brought donors together for the first time through a virtual event, Stronger Together, to celebrate the impact of your support. It was a meaningful opportunity to share stories, reflect on progress, and connect as a community committed to inclusion.

We are also grateful to our key funders and sponsors, whose support strengthens and sustains our work:
• BC FamilyNet
• Community Living BC
• Gore Mutual
• Government of British Columbia
• Government of Canada
• The May and Stanley Smith Charitable Trust

Every dollar helps, and your continued support means so much to us. Monthly donations and multi-year funding provide stability and allow us to plan for the future with confidence. This ongoing support sustains vital programs like our Community Inclusion Advocacy line, ensuring that people and families can access guidance, support, and advocacy when they need it.

As one individual shared:

“The advocacy support felt accessible, respectful, and reassuring. My advocate was always attentive and showed a great deal of empathy. She respected my lived experience, my emotions, and my choices. She took the time to clearly explain the processes and her suggestions with care and professionalism. I never felt judged or dismissed. Overall, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely supported.”

To all our donors and partners: thank you. Your generosity makes this work possible and strengthens inclusion in communities across British Columbia. Together, we are building a future where everyone belongs.

Our approach to advocacy is guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, which recognizes the full citizenship and human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Kerridan Dougan, Advocate

Support Our Work, Empower Everyone.

Together, we can break down barriers and create an inclusive world for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
