Inclusion BC Online Silent Auction

Support Inclusion BC’s Silent Auction to Empower Community Inclusion

Join us this October for Inclusion BC’s Silent Auction, a fundraiser to support our Community Inclusion Advocacy program. This program is crucial to Inclusion BC’s mission to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have choice and control over the supports they need to thrive in their communities.

How You Can Help

By participating in our Silent Auction, you’re not just bidding on amazing auction items, you’re investing in the future of inclusive communities. Proceeds from the event will directly support the advocacy efforts that make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

With each bid on incredible items like game tickets, ballet performances, a magic show, or an all-inclusive stay at a dude ranch (generously donated by Sundance Guest Ranch), you’re supporting a future where everyone belongs. We have a treasure trove of gift certificates to the finest local restaurants, and gift baskets in price points for everyone. Among the highlights is a spectacular grand prize trip for two to Kelowna, complete with flights, a stay in downtown Kelowna, and wine tasting. Thanks to the generous contributions from Pacific Coastal Airlines, Hotel Zed, and Sandhill Wines.

Why This Program Matters

“In my journey to get adequate classroom support for my son, Inclusion BC paired me with a skilled and experienced advocate who listened to my concerns, gave me valuable advice on the escalation process, and sat in with me on important meetings. She not only gave me the confidence to advocate for my child’s rights, but also provided much needed emotional and moral support during a high-stakes and stressful situation. I am deeply grateful for the Advocacy Program.”

The Community Inclusion Advocacy program is more than just a service; it’s a lifeline for individuals and families facing complex barriers to inclusion. For many families, navigating healthcare, education, and social service systems that aren’t designed with their loved ones in mind is a daily reality. This program provides essential support, offering guidance and advocacy to help them access the services they need, ensuring that individuals with intellectual disabilities are not just included but empowered in their communities.

Through personalized advocacy, we help families and individuals overcome barriers to inclusion. This could mean connecting someone with resources in their community, offering information, creating a plan, or supporting them to advocate for the services they need.

Our advocates work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in society.

Prepare to make a difference and mark your calendars for October 1st.
