Embracing Gentle Teaching In Supportive Homes

Hello, From HOME Society

HOME Society provides supportive homes for people with complex needs, linking family, friends and neighbours to build a circle of support for the people they serve. They embrace the Philosophy of Gentle Teaching. That means they use words, presence, eyes, and touch instead of traditional behaviour modification tools like restraints, time-outs and consequences.

They have over 90 Home Share family homes in the Fraser Valley, and a variety of residential living options. They also provide easy access to psychiatric support, substance misuse counselling and help with medical, dental and nutritional issues.

HOME Society is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
