Virtual Learning Series: Growing Capacity and Building Inclusive Communities

Over the past 12 months, Inclusion BC has collaborated with our community partners to host a series of virtual learning sessions. The 2021 winter term features included a Youth Employment Summit, the four-part film series Disrupting Misconceptions and Forging Pathways Forward for Students with Developmental Disabilities, and an advocacy panel on Supporting Transition to Life After High School.

From September 2020 to March 2021, our virtual learning series successfully reached 884 participants, with 70% of participants reporting they had gained new skills and networks, and 85% of participants reporting the series exceeded their expectations.

Should you have missed any of our learning sessions, you can watch all of the sessions at Virtual Learning Series.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our presenters and our wonderful co-hosts Self Advocates of Semiahmoo and Uniti.

Additionally, the Virtual Learning Series would not have been possible without the ongoing generous support from our sponsors – the Province of BC, the Public Guardian and Trustee of BC, and the BC CEO Network – thank you for helping to build strong and inclusive communities where everyone belongs!
