Claire Inkster joined Inclusion BC as the Communications Manager in the spring of 2021. Supporting the communication strategies for a broad range of initiatives, Claire collaborates with the team ensuring Inclusion BC is the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information on topics relating to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in B.C.

Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design from the University of Emily Carr, a Diploma in Disability Studies from Douglas College, as well as being a parent of a child with a disability Claire is equal parts fierce inclusion advocate and communications geek.

With a passion for listening, learning, and synthesizing complex information into clear informative communication Claire works to amplify community inclusion, social justice, and civil rights for all human beings.

While not working Claire finds beauty and joy in everything from spending time with her family to being surrounded by nature, fine arts, handcrafted objects, a cup of tea, and all things colourful!
