Inclusion BC provides advocacy support to families supporting a person with a developmental disability. This could mean connecting you with resources in your community or standing by your side as you advocate for the services you need.

Inclusion BC's new Community Inclusion Advocate, Tina Dam, is among the helpful staff on hand with the experience and knowledge to help you. If you're not sure who you should be talking to, get in touch and we'll connect you with the right person or organization. Read more about our advocacy program.

Supporting Children and Families

Our Vision

Supporting children and families is an integral part of our community culture. Supports are well-funded, readily accessible, personalized, family-driven and anchored in good policy and practice.

Why it's important

When we strengthen and empower families with child- and family-centred supports for healthy development, the whole community benefits. Supportive, welcoming environments provide children and youth with special needs opportunities to grow, participate and belong.

Supporting families

Having a family member with a developmental disability brings both rewards and challenges. At Inclusion BC we work to strengthen and empower families and communities to provide supportive and welcoming environments where children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities can participate and belong.

Check the links on the sidebar to your right to find out more about what we're doing to support and empower families and where you can get support in the community.
