Howard Kettner

In mid-2013, after 33 years spent building GroupHEALTH, a leader in Canadian Group Benefits administration and cost containment, Howard turned his focus and energies to reading, researching and actively engaging in a wide range of pursuits from back-packing to writing, real estate, big data and exponential technologies.  No one was more surprised than he to discover the opportunities for linking the learnings and dialogues with the life he’d just left.  What is emerging is the vision, the relationships, processes and platforms for technology enhancement in a number of sectors.  The result is Kettner IXL Partners based in White Rock, British Columbia.

Howard's involvement with Community Living began with the AiMHi organization in Prince George in 1984.  Over time, Howard and his firm became the provider of group insurance services and coverage for the BCACL office staff and a number of BCACL member entities throughout the province from the Kootenays to Terrace, and from Fort St. John to Vancouver Island.  What Howard treasures most are the personal and professional relationships with people representing those organizations.

On the personal side, Howard is first and foremost a father of 7.  He and his wife Coral are committed runners, cyclists, competitive kart racers, downhill skiers, and distance back packers.  There is also a rumour that Howard is also a licensed truck driver and lumber grader.  What’s definitely not a rumour is that Howard is committed to life long learning and seeking the answers that lead to exponential transformation.
