This workshop is for families who have a relative with autism or a developmental disability who would like to find out more about Individualised Funding and Microboards.

Individualized Funding: Individualized Funding (IF) is a payment option for people served by Community Living BC (CLBC). IF lets you use the money given to you by CLBC to create new, different kinds of services that will support your relative with a developmental disability in your community. Many families are being offered direct funding for respite. If you want to find out more about IF or are considering direct funding for respite this workshop is a MUST for you.

An Introduction to Microboards: Families may choose to set up a Microboard(tm) if they have individual funding. A Microboard(tm) is a small (micro) group of committed family and friends (a minimum of 5 people) who join together with the person to create a non-profit society (board). Together, you help the person plan, advocate, monitor services, network and do fun things together. Presented Linda Perry, Executive Director of Vela
