An annual 4-day visual arts festival the “Culture Crawl” in November that involves artists on Vancouver’s Eastside opening their studio to the public. The event is focused on the area bounded by Columbia St, 1st Ave, Victoria Drive, and the Waterfront and involves painters, jewelers, sculptors, furniture makers, weavers, potters, printmakers, photographers, glassblowers; from emerging artists to those internationally established.

About the Studio: Alternative Creations Studio provides the space and opportunity for people with developmental disabilities to showcase their artistic skills and to express themselves creatively. Our studio established a cooperative in 2013, which supports 18 artists as we share our talents and space in the process of creating art. Many of our artists excel at painting, cartooning, sketching, abstracts, and work in multimedia. We believe strongly in giving back to our local community. Over the years, we've delved into creating three dimensional displays for fundraising events where the proceeds go to local charities. We pride ourselves in collaborating with others through sharing studio space; developing friendships and building resources. The vibrant projects and workshops created enrich the lives of artists, their families and community members. Alternative Creations Studio is an art studio, supported by posAbilities.
