The YWCA of Metro Vancouver and Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) have partnered to deliver a peer support group for single mothers of children on the Autism Spectrum.

This FREE program offers a friendly, supportive space where women can share experiences, information and resources unique to being a single mother of children on the Autism Spectrum. The group will also include workshops dealing with topics such as self advocacy, self-care and parenting.

Free child-minding will be provided by volunteers experienced in caring for children with Autism, provided and screened by PAFN. Please note the support ratio will be 1:2 and 1:1 supports will not be available, however children who would like to bring additional support workers are welcome.

Refreshments provided.

For more information and/or to register for the group please contact Joann McKinlay at 604-895-5849 or email jmckinlay@ywcavan.org
