About the Event: You are invited to join First Call on the evening of February 1, 2018, and enjoy words from our featured guest, Grand Chief Ed John of Tl’azt’en Nation, First Nations Summit Political Executive and former North American Representative to, and Chair of, the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

Also at this year’s gala, Raffi, who turns 70 this year, will receive the Champion of Child and Youth Rights Award at our annual gala on February 1—in special recognition of his contributions to awareness of children’s rights around the world.

Our annual fundraising galas are an occasion to celebrate our child and youth advocacy as well as to raise much-needed funds to ensure we can continue to put BC’s children and youth first.

We hope you will join us for an evening of good food, good company and the wisdom Grand Chief Ed John will share from his years of leadership and his deep understanding of the impacts of colonization and the child welfare system child on Indigenous children, families and communities.
